With thanks to my parents for bedtime stories - read out loud (my mother) and invented on the spot (my father). I'm also grateful to the children who have listened to my reading of this book.
I hope that other parents and children will enjoy this innocent but deep tale about the silliness of adult pre-occupations and the importance of the ties that grow from connection and “taming”. (It also takes a nice swipe at cultural prejudices early on.)
